Vareto announces team expansion into Latin America

Today, we are thrilled to announce our expansion into Latin America.

Since summer 2020, our remote-first team has scaled quickly across 15 cities in the United States, Canada, and Europe. As part of our international growth plan, we are ramping up tech hiring in Latin America, starting with a senior engineering leader to help build and grow our team in this region.

When it comes to engineering talent and entrepreneurship, Latin America is experiencing unprecedented growth. Venture capital investment in the region has increased 5x in the past two years, from $4B in 2019 to ~$20B in 2021. The number of tech unicorns increased from 2 to 34 in just four years. 

Vareto’s leadership team has personal and professional ties to Latin America, witnessing the region’s growth over the past decade. CEO and cofounder, Kat Orekhova, has personally invested in and supported almost a dozen different startups across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. 

We’re excited to expand our team in Latin America, and look forward to adding team members in other regions as well in the not too distant future.
