Recently, Vareto and Vouch, a provider of insurance for startups, partnered together to host a finance leadership dinner in Menlo Park. We kicked off the event with a fireside chat with controller Oggie Lilly, ex-Airbnb and Enjoy, and Vouch's VPÂ of Finance Joe Magdovitz. They discussed building for now versus building for scale, managing risk, and how to retain employees during periods of uncertainty (Airbnb was born out of the 2008 recession).
